MS Thor

• Built in 1903, Fredrikstad Mek. Verksted, nr 84

• Length 19,5 m Width 4,6 m

• 46,5 Brutto registered tonn

• Private owners

Steam engine tug for timber on the Halden Canal.


In service until 1920 when it was laid up. Sold out of the Canal in 1941 and transferred to the Oslo fjord.


New Diesel engine installed in 1952, and it then spent the following decades in service as a tug on the Oslo fjord and along the south coast.


Now bought by private investors and transferred back to the Halden Canal.


MS «Thor» has been totally renovated.
