Halden 350 years - What's on - Halden - Visit Østfold

Halden - 350 years

In 1665 - as a "Thank You" for defending the country and the border line - Halden is granted town status and privileges by king Frederick III. At the same time the town is given the name "Fredrikshald", and the words "Gud med oss" (God with us) is included in the coat of arms.

350 years later it is time for an anniversary celebration! Events and activities throughout the city - to honor the dramatic and important history.
