The Tall Ships Races

The Tall Ships Races is the world’s largest sailing ships event and one of the biggest sports events in the world. 

The regattas are organized by  Sail Training International, and  started in 1956. Each year they gather 70 – 100 big and small sailing vessels and  6000 crew members.

Fredrikstad host the Tall Ship Races for the second time in 2014.

The race in 2014 strat in Harlingen in the Netherlands, goes by Fredrikstad and Bergen in Norway and ends in Esbjerg in Denmark.
